What is the sunnah of eating: Bismillah, right hand, nearest side?
Short answer
The Prophet ﷺ told a boy eating with him: "Mention the name of Allah, eat with your right hand, and eat from what is nearest to you." At your first meal, say Bismillah and eat with your right hand from the side of the plate in front of you.
